Big Reuse

Big Reuse is a non-profit retail outlet for salvaged and surplus building materials. Big Reuse’s mission is to keep these materials out of the landfill, while offering deep discounts on their resale. They accept drop-off donations seven days a week, offer free pick up services for large donations, and provide some deconstruction services.

Lower East Side Ecology Center

The LES Ecology Center has a variety of initiatives involving all things green. They have a well established e-waste program in which all electronics can be taken to their Gowanus drop-off center. They also hold e-waste collection events seasonally in all five boroughs.

TerraCycle’s purpose is to eliminate the idea of waste. They do this by creating national recycling systems for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste. Anyone can sign up for these programs and several of the BGA’s collections are through TerraCycle!
