This production of A Midsummer Night's Dream juxtaposes the classic comedy with deeper considerations on how we view and interact with the environment. Looking at pastoral themes and drawing on metaphors of colonialism and ideas of wilderness, this production seeks to draw a critical eye to the ways that we think about the environment.
This production is the Senior Capstone Project of Jo Wiegandt, a directing student at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School. Jo would like to thank the amazing cast and crew of this production for helping bring life to this show as well as St. Mark's Church-In-The-Bowery for hosting.
