About the performance
A commemorative literary performance by the Nemzeti Színház (National Theatre of Budapest). March 15, 1848 marks the outbreak of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence, in which actors, poets, politicians, women and men all took part. With this festive program, we pay tribute to them, and through the figure of Kossuth Lajos, we highlight the long-standing bond between two freedom-loving nations: the Hungarian and the American people. The literary program is performed by four artists of the National Theatre: József S. Kovács, Mari Nagy, Ágota Szilágyi, and Zsolt Trill.
The event is going to be conducted in Hungarian!
