Developed by the Broadway Green Alliance, No Day But Today: A Climate Talk That’s Also Kind of a Broadway Musical is an engaging 30-minute slide show presentation framed as a play. The prologue sets the stage for the climate crisis, pulling the curtain aside on its causes, devastating impacts, and the real threat it poses to humanity. Then the talk shifts its tone to that of a hopeful Broadway musical, spotlighting the solutions already within reach and the artists taking action right now. Blending science with the power of the performing arts, this climate talk – that’s also kind of a Broadway musical – is a compelling story of urgency, hope and action that will inspire and empower audiences to help build a more sustainable future.

  • Not exactly — the talk is inspired by Al Gore's Climate Reality Project presentation, so two performers guide the audience through a slide deck. The Broadway twist is that this deck is full of music, theatre references, and performance clips.

  • The talk is intended for theatre-makers and theatre-lovers who want to level up their understanding of the climate crisis and its solutions. It's appropriate for those with little knowledge of the issue all the way through those who want to deepen their existing understanding of it.

  • The content is appropriate for ages 12+.

  • Currently, the talk is given by Tony Nominated performer Anika Larsen and Broadway Green Alliance Executive Director Molly Braverman.

  • The presentation runs approximately 30 minutes, with time for questions or supplementary presentation topics afterward.

  • No, the talk is offered free of charge to eligible organizations.*

    *We're able to travel free of charge within the tri-state area. For talks outside this region, speaker travel will need to be covered, or at least partially supported, by the host. We always try to book multiple talks in a region at once, both to defray costs and to minimize travel-related emissions.

  • The talk can only be presented in person. This is to ensure that the information is received and digested in community with others. Like theatre!

  • Hosts should provide a screen or projector with the ability to play a slide deck that includes audio/visual elements.

  • Yes, the talk is followed by a Q&A giving audiences a chance to ask questions and dig deeper into the solutions discussed. For each audience, we can customize an additional presentation element to explore solutions and resources for that particular group (for example, a dive into the BGA’s Sustainable Production and Design Toolkit).

  • The goal of our Climate Talk is to empower theatre-makers and theatre-lovers with a clear-eyed understanding of the climate crisis and the many solutions already within reach, and to inspire them to insist on those solutions. Audiences leave feeling hopeful, informed, and equipped with tangible tools to take action!
