In honor of MLK Jr. Day, volunteer to clean debris off Old Mill Creek's shoreline on the Fountain side of the park! All materials provided.

Interested in volunteering and making a difference at Shirley Chisholm State Park?

Join us for our shoreline cleanup in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm!

All materials, including hand sanitizer, gloves, and garbage pickers are provided. Please dress for the weather and wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy!

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This cleanup will be the first to take place on the Old Mill Creek bank on the Fountain side of the park! Meet at the Fountain patio by the parking lot.
