The 5th Annual Broadway Celebrates Earth Day concert took place on Saturday, April 25 from 11am–3pm in Times Square’s Duffy Square in front of the iconic red steps. Hosted by the Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) and the Times Square Alliance, the free public performance served as a marquee event for the NYC Department of Transportation’s city wide “Car-Free Earth Day”, joyfully mobilizing the theatre community and fans to combat climate change and advance sustainable solutions.
The plaza featured a special exhibit from The Climate Museum and was full of family-friendly activities from leading partners in climate advocacy, including Headcount, Materials for the Arts, and the Wildlife Conservation Society for a complete day of art meeting action.
